Congress is currently debating on a new bill, referred to as Bill S.978.

What this bill is all about is that it makes the streaming of any sort of copyrighted material on the internet illegal. SEVERAL internet websites could be shut down if this bill gets passed.

Most people know that Youtube is certainly at risk if this is passed, however, DA fan groups, as well as almost all of the site in general, could be at risk.

Why is it at risk? Because of the fact of deviants enjoy drawing fan art of their favorite copyrighted characters, even when we give full credit to the original creator of said characters.

The consequences for breaking this law are getting a thousand dollar fines, and even up to five years in prison! That's right! You could go to prison for just drawing a simple fan art of your favorite character!
